Say Thank You as many times as you can today without forcing it. Keep a mental note of how much you have to be thankful for and who is deserving of your gratitude.
To the woman who hands you your morning coffee, make sure to say Thank You.
To the person who lets you board the train first or lets your car merge in front of his own, Thank You.
To the one who holds open the elevator for you at work because she sees you coming, Thank You.
To the coworker who asks you if you had a good night, Thank You.
To the boss who tells you you did nice work on a project, Thank You.
To the employee who comes into the office even though the winter weather made that a big effort, Thank You.
To your spouse or roommate who starts making dinner before you get home, Thank You.
To your kids who take off their wet boots at the front door instead of tracking through the house, Thank You.
To your dog who wags his tail when he sees you as a way of letting you know that you are the neatest person in the world, Thank You.
To your God when you crawl into bed at the end of the day, and you realize that you have a bed indoors and you are warm and safe and have much to be thankful for, Thank You.
So when you’re in the shower this morning, instead of whining about having to get out of bed, be thankful that you have a job. You’ll be surprised how this one step of gratitude can brighten your entire day.
Thank you Scott for a wonderful blog!
To the stranger who brighten your day just by smiling at you. THANK YOU.
And more importantly, to the dear friend who is always there when you need him. Well THANK YOU just does not cut it. But BLESS YOU might do it.
Just heard a blip that bitterness root = an ungrateful heart, and vice versa… you speak truth!
